Well I read the other day that simply using a pedometer every day will encourage you to walk further, or take more steps, more steps means more calories burned, and more calories burned equals less fat.
So i've got myself a new little ped. and am using it today. I'll update later with my total step count.
well it will be interesting to see how much walking i do actually do, i suspect not nearly enough, but this will be a good way to start doing a little more.

Time for a Change!
Yes we all say it don't we - this time we are going to change, we will get fit, we will stick to yet another diet, and we will be thin. (Ha ha) And after many failed diets i am now 15st12lbs and fed up. But i have come to one conclusion, and that is that our bodies will never be beaten into submission. They will always bite back. So the time has come to be kind to our selves, to our bodies, but most of all to our self-esteem.
I think that is the biggest hurdle to over come - well it is for me anyway - I have battled with low self esteem for years - on the outside is a confident, busy woman, and on the inside is a little voice saying 'you're not worthy! you're not worthy!' I'm not going to promise that i will shut this voice out for good, but I will say that I will try to ignore it, or answer it with a 'maybe not, but I am trying'.
So, small changes first I think, 1) stop weighing myself 50 times a day, 2) stop beating myself up over every calorie that passes my over my lips. and 3) take a little more exercise every day.
I'll let you know how I get on......
